Rims and Tires a popular item to steal
Yes, they're easy picking and very popular amongst thieves it seems. One Florida resident, Mr Sellers, thought all was lost when thieves stole his rims and tires from his garage, during the night. But in this case the astute victim of thieves decided to check Craigslist. Just hours later on Craigslist, Sellers saw the tires and rims stolen from his car inside of his garage.
Sellers got the police involved and a sting operating was setup with the thieves. With undercover detectives watching, Sellers waited for the man trying to sell his own tires back to him, but the thieves were a no show.
Later the seller (thieves) met Sellers (how confusing!) - with surveillance cameras rolling, the man opened his car as the reporter examined the tires that fit the victim's description. the suspects were arrested.
Sellers says that buyers should check out good deals and as the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
